Mr. Gimpel is a 1997 Adelphi University graduate with a B.S. in Physical Education and a teacher in the New York City Public School system. He is also a graduate of the Rising Stars Program. Danny exemplified the Rising Stars philosophy, " To Achieve it you must Believe it", by creating his own future. Dan was a basketball All American and captain his senior year breaking scoring and assist records and becoming one alma maters greatest sports story. Dan also conducts clinics and directs basketball programs at Queensborough C.C.
Mr. Savramis is a nationally known basketball clinician teacher and the founder
of the Eastern Invitational Basketball camp and clinics. In 1990 Mr. Savramis
sold his interest in the camps to focus full time on the Rising Stars Programs.
Mr. Savramis uses basketball to teach value based lessons that yield strong
confident and self-respecting individuals. In 1995, he applied for 501c3 status
and created the Rising Stars Foundation. Mr. Savramis is a 1980 graduate of
Queens College with a Masters degree in Physical Education. Mr. Savramis is
also a highly respected clinician internationally and serves as the director
of instruction for the Future Stars Basketball Programs and the Swiss All
Star Basketball programs. He has conducted clinics with Michael Jordan, Larry
Bird and Magic Johnson.

Mr. David Green - BS Kansas MS. NYU Mr. Green was a founding member of the Harlem Wizards.. The original "Whiz Kid". Mr.Green is a piece of basketball history who uses his skills with the basketball to reach kids with a positive message for developing life skills. Mr.Green is a ambassador for Rising Stars on and off the court.

Mr. Chuck Everson - Director, Eastern Long Island Rising Stars. Chuck is a former rising stars alumni and member of the '85 Villanova championship team. Chuck's son, CJ, and daughter Kathleen, are current Rising Stars.

Proffesional - Played with the Washington Generals traveling with the Harlem Globetrothers; played with the Rochester Royals with recent Hall of Fame inductees Bobby Davis, Bobby Wanzes and Arnie Risen. Also played with Maurice Stokes.
Post Basketball - NY City Police - Bronx Homicide Detective twenty years CYO volunteer and author of children's books on basketball skills and drills. Jim is currently the director of the Rising Stars K-4 development programs at Dominican college. Jim is a father of four and grandfather of three. His youngest son Danny has been with Rising Stars since grade 4 playing on the national championship team with Jayson Williams, (Duke.) Danny now is attending St. Thomas Aquinas as a freshman guard.
