Rising Stars is a non-profit organization that promotes education. We provide life skills, academic and athletic support programs to the youth in our communities.

Our services extend to both the public and private educational and business sectors of our society. Rising Stars outreach programs provide an educational model that develops leadership skills, responsibility, and accountability that prepare youth to make the important choices and decisions regarding their personal lives, education and conduct. With the assistance of trained, qualified educators, coaches and volunteers, Rising Stars has had a remarkable success rate on the outcome of both at-risk youth, as well as those youth who have strong parental guidance.

Our primary objective is to lay the foundation for success in the minds and hearts of every child in our program. Our commitment to youth and their parents is unique and one that is life long. We believe that Rising Stars truly "makes the world a better place by making a difference in the life of a child".

Basketball is and always be in the depths of my heart and soul. It ultimately proved to be the sport that motivated and inspired me to succeed, stay focused, and remain determined to achieve my goals. However, I do understand that basketball may not be the vehicle which inspires and drives all individuals to achieve their goals in life. The one thing I am certain of is that everyone needs to understand the value of education in pursuing their dreams. In addition, they have to make certain that they are surrounded by individuals who can share their passions, provide support and direction, teach them the life skills necessary to be successful on and off the playing field, and make a positive contribution to our society.

Rising Stars is moving in a new direction in the 21st century. Although basketball is the current vehicle used to teach children leadership skills, accountability, and responsibility - it is our fervent hope that we will move beyond basketball and become an organization that helps any child achieve their dreams no matter what their passion is in life.
