2010 Annual Outstanding Community Volunteer Award
to Kathleen Everson

Rising Stars proudly awarded its annual Outstanding community service award to Kathleen Everson for her work with Special Olympics and Parents for Autistic Children.

Rising Stars requires each member of its national teams to volunteer time to help with other charities or to help in a worthwhile community project.

For some it is a duty, for others a pleasure.

For Kathleen it was always the latter and she put her heart in to every event she was a part of.
Kathleen, a student at Sachem East and a varsity team member as an 8th grader was also awarded Rookie of the Year honors for her part in helping East capture the NY State Championship in 2010.
